Hello everyone!
I'm here lurking around, praying everyday that I receive an interview invite. Everytime I see my phone start blinking my heart races, only to get another spam or email from southwest. I am so happy for everyone who has been accepted thus far, Howard seems like such an amazing and welcoming school. For those waiting to hear post interview, good luck!! I'm sure everything will be great!

And for those waiting for interviews like me, I have my fingers crossed and am praying for everyone 🙂

Beeweew, march 15 seems like forever!!
I don't know how we did it last time...waiting a whole month! I wish they let you know soon so then you have time to turn in your Financial Aid Form!
The deadline is march 15 🙁. Maybe you can work on it before the 15th and then once you hear the decision, you can try faxing it on the same day!
I faxed it in and they got it right away! 🙂

Have any of you gone to your local library friends of the library sales or trift shops? I own hundreds of books and get them really cheap from my library. 50 cents for hard cover and 25 cents for soft cover. They even have books just released! I also use amazon if I really need a book, right now Im reading The biography of Ernest Just and in one of the chapters it talks about a new black school just built that was gaining popularity, guess what school it was? Thats right good ol HU!👍😍

OMG me too! I live at home and I have hundreds of books stored in my closet and in the shed and under my bed...I volunteer with a woman who may very well ave a thousand books in her possession, I cant wait to have my own place and my own library!

Thank you for your prayers Beeweew! All is good, kinda had a really rough weekend. But God pulled me through. I graduated in May 2010 so I guess you can say I've been on spring break all year. I might head down to Miami in March to hang out with some old friends. How about you?

I too get overexcited every time my phone blinks/beeps; I am waiting to hear back, but I applied later in the cycle so I have to be extra patient. Congrats to those who have received invites and/or acceptances, I hope that I can one day soon count myself among you. Howard is a great school with amazing people (like you guys). I'm just as anxious for March 15th as you all are. You guys are going to be such awesome, supportive classmates. By the support I see in here, I can already tell that our class is going to get 100% passing rate on the USMLE Step I .

P.S For those of you already in the Howard c/o 2015 group on facebook, help me spice it up a lil. Its a little quiet in there

Don't be scared! I think it is OK to call as long as you are following their time slots which can be found on http://medicine.howard.edu/students/prospective/admissions/faq.htm
I know they probably get hundreds of calls asking status updates but I think if I were you, I would try whatever I can to get their attention especially this late in the game. I'm sorry to hear that about your state school. Hang in there and stay optimistic 🙂

I don't believe there is an online database to check your status. I think a few weeks ago someone posted that they got rejected (I think his/her username was tabascosause, you can check the post on page 20 of this forum post #993) but not sure if it is true or if anyone else has gotten any rejection letters. You can pm that person, I guess for a more accurate answer. Good luck!

Hey JuliaJulia, you could call for a status update. Im not sure of the office hours but theyre posted online.. the rejection part is a little tricky bcuz i think ppl just stop posting after they have been rejected. Good luck with the process. If you can, try to tour the school. Thats a good way to get a face-to-face with Ms Walk (since she is the tour guide sometimes)
