It seems in general only 50% of the apps are accepted each year. Makes you wonder??? I wish they would include info comparing the DPT program/schools applicants and acceptances. It would save a lot of time going not having to go to the different program web sites.
I'm worried about the 50% too....but remember not all schools participate in PTCAS and not applicants meet minimum requirements. Good luck to everyone.
Well I'm not sure the odds are that different. Most individual PT schools I have looked at accept between 4-10% of students who apply. The 50% is more of a reflection of applying to 5+ schools and getting accepted to at least one.I think a 50% chance of getting into a PT school is great compared to the less than 10% chance of getting into MD/DO schools. Even if you don't compare the odds with medical programs, it's still a great shot IMO. I guess it depends on if you view things as the "glass half full" or "glass half empty".
