I bought the 2012 edition at the recommendation of a few friends who took the DAT. Each edition in Destroyer has new questions in each section. I don't have an old edition to compare it to. Also the math destroyer has 13 practice tests. I know the old one has only 11 or 12.
I came across this thread and was wondering the same thing. If i have the 2010 and 2011 version, should I buy the 2012 version if I'm retaking the DAT in June? Are the questions that different?
Not sure what the difference is, or if there is a difference, but I too had the 2010 Destroyer books and I used those to study off of -- just recently took the DAT. I didn't feel like I missed anything or any subjects with the old edition.
There are a lot of new questions added to 2012 Destroyer, especially in Biology and chemistry. Can you do well with previous editions? Sure. However, if you are buying a book, don't you want the most for your money?
As everyone is saying, go with the newer more improved version of Destroyer.
CDR helped me a lot imo. Reading Comp on the Verbal part of my SAT was realllly weak in high school so I was worried RC would be tough for me. I averaged 19 on CDR and scored much better on the real thing!
