I would say complete is date secondary was complete, or if the school doesn't have a secondary the date they acknowledged you complete (AMCAS, LORs, etc.).

N/A for me meant rejected post prelim app but before invited for secondary. kind of specific to that school i guess.

i logged into NYU's secondary to see if my file was complete yet (hadn't logged in since submitting it), and see "Status: rejected" :laugh:

Yes, expected. I have a low uGPA (~3.3), which I knew would get me the boot most places. Applied very broadly, so I'm not bothered when I get what seems to be insta-rejections based on stats. One interview invite so far with warm fuzzies from a few other schools, so I'm not sweating it yet. Posting it here is just cathartic for some reason...

Hey guys, for Cornell/Tri-I, by "Complete", do you mean the day you turned in your secondary or the day you received the confirmation email indicating that your app is complete?..thanks!

So, if anyone did not get rejected from Cornell they should let us know why. The irony of my rejection is on the exact same day I was rejected I got a big fat recruiting packet in the mail with shiny brochures and such......ummm, insult and injury? Check. Why? No clue.
 
i'll let you know if i'm lucky enough to get an interview, but i won't know for a while. i called the md/phd admissions office this morning to ask why my status still says "incomplete" after a week. the administrative lady said that she had been on vacation for the past 2 weeks and she is now working through a giant pile of applications to enter into the system (and probably a lot of people to notify about interviews/rejections).

Well they supposedly give ipads to students and take the MSTPs on cruises. So either they don't think we are ipad-worthy or they just don't want to see us in our swimwear :laugh:

Anyone have any idea what a "highly placed on hold list" from the University of Washington would mean? Does it mean that if people refuse interviews, I get invited? Or is it basically asking me for updates and stuff to push by application "over the edge" to the interview list?

I recently noticed that my status (after 18 days of being in the MD screen) for the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine changed to this:

MSTP and MD Application Process Complete

Since I did not receive an interview invite (or any email for that matter), is this their way of rejecting me?
 
Unfortunately, I think that's end-game. Mine went from:

'MD Application Held for Later Review' to 'MSTP and MD Application Held for Later Review' and has stayed that way for a while.
