i called to ask when results would be out, and they asked when i interviewed (3/2) and told me early next week 🙁

I called today to ask when I could expect to hear back (I interviewed in early January). They said next week. Disappointing.
 
seriously Sinai, they've been telling people different things about when the results would come out like every day.
 
Gahhh, the thought of waiting through another weekend then repeating this past week's suspense is just brutal... Thanks for calling and letting us know what you heard though - at least I know to give up for today.
 
Lots of people going to Cali and staying in NY this year. Hopefully I didn't miss anyone.

Update: decisions will be sent out this Wednesday!

(I couldn't resist calling the admissions office today. They are so nice considering how many neurotic pre-meds like me they must be dealing with...)

Hmm, I don't like that trend. When did you call?
I hope it's Tuesday. Maybe they're planning on Tuesday, but just told me Wednesday to ensure that I wouldn't bother them tomorrow in case they don't end up sending the decisions out, haha.

Only one today? Does Sinai usually send decisions over multiple days?

Congrats!!! And me too!!! I was also totally surprised! Today was the one day for the past two weeks where I wasn't expecting to hear from them. This has been my top school for such a long time! I heard from them at 4:03 EST as well, and I interviewed mid-February.

Accepted today! Email, 4:05 Eastern. Wahoo. Does anyone have the link to the facebook group or know if there is a second look weekend??
 
maybe they just got tired of sending out emails and are going to accept the rest of us tomorrow? 🙁
 
Just got an email that I'm on the waitlist. Not what I was hoping for, but I'm still hopeful. Mount Sinai is definitely my top choice.

Waitlisted as well. Sigh. I already sent a LOI (intent) about three weeks after my interview, too. Meh.

And because I like to explain my emotions through gifs:

this post is amazing and exactly how i felt too!!
sinai is my dream school too.
hopefully the waitlist has some movement this year!
 
Does anyone know when they usually start pulling from the waitlist? Any chance at all before May 15th?

Also, is the waitlist ranked or tiered?

I just talked to a lady in the admissions office and she said the waitlist is ranked and no movement will occur until after May 15. But we can send letters of interest/update letters as well, so I'm not sure how they play into everything if it is already ranked.
