Depends... are you optimistic or pessimistic? The optimist will see all of us that got IIs like last month and were complete during the summer. The pessimist will see other pessimists scared that they are through and realize that they were completed late and therefore will most likely get a late II...
I guess I'm more confused about NYU's application timeline. I didn't really look into it until the other day. Their deadline for completing secondaries doesn't make sense considering that interviews are complete at the end of January.

Good luck! I hope we all hear some good news by the end of the week :xf:

Is this your top choice?

Agreed! NYU was really awesome, but I've been trying to stay away from choosing a "Top Choice." How about you?

Fortunately, I have been accepted to my top choice. However, I really liked NYU so it will be a nice bonus 🙂

I forgot about that 🙂 . You had that before interviewing at NYU right?

Does anyone know from last year whether they let everyone know (accept, waitlist, or rejection) or is just acceptances going out Thursday?

Anyone know what time to expect the email?

I'm excited! 🙂

Does anyone know what is the last interview date that was evaluated for this upcoming batch of acceptances?

I interviewed on 11/15.

Look up. That's last years thread. I believe 11/15 was included in the first batch last year but you should check that.

Yeah, I think they included people who interviewed up to 11/20...

Anyone else nervous? I have an interview tomorrow; I'll probably make a bad impression by trying to check my email constantly lol.

It seems the deans called people last year between 2:30pm EST and 5:00pm EST on December 15th rather than email.
The email didn't come until the next day December 16th at 9:00am EST. Snail mail followed to the permanent address a few days later.
Also, apparently people could check their status around 5:00pm EST on December 15th and rejections would start showing up as well.

Who knows if it will be the same this year though.

Good luck everyone.

I interviewed last week and since my status has said "Interview completed-Final Decision Pending", until just now it has changed to "Final Decision Pending". Is there any significance to this or is this just how it goes for everyone?

As soon as someone hears something let us know!!!

Also, as people receive the call or hear back could you list your interview date?

Last year it seemed as if they called people in interview date order.

lol. 33 viewers on this thread right now. Guess everyone is excited to hear some news 😀

We're up to 42 now since I bumped the thread :meanie:

This is like waiting for a girl to text you back...you're not sure if it or when it's gonna happen, yet you ceaselessly check your phone

Gotta go to work, so I will not be able to check this thread in the next hour or so 🙁

Last year the earliest reported phone call was at 2:48pm EST I believe.

For all you out there with hearts pounding

I received the call today at 3:00p est!

Interviewed 11/14/2011

stats: 3.9, 33

Best of luck!

Congrats!!! Thanks for the info. It looks like they aren't giving calls based on interview date this year. Maybe it's based on alphabetical order or time zone?

Btw, just checked status, still at Final Decision Pending.

Why has nobody heard yet? Do you guys think they'll send out a massive email at 5?
