I wondered if the people who have received phone calls already might disclose their location and the first letter of their last name? I'm curious if they might be going alphabetically. My nerves are on edge!
Do you think they may be done making calls?

Also got the call! Actually missed it and then called back haha. So excited after getting wait-listed from another school last week.
I highly suspect they did it alphabetical order. both my friend and I were called within minutes of each other and have last names starting with the same letter. (In fact, I was called before him and my name technically comes before his). But that being said, we are also located in the same area so it might have been done by geographic region (although I doubt it). My friend interviewed over a month before me I think.
Also, interviewed 11/21 for those of you wondering about cut-offs!

When did you get the call? And is your last name in the middle, beginning or end of the alphabet?

Don't tease us like that. What does your last name start with? What time was the call?
Also were calls made to cell phones or house phones? I realized that I moved and sent them my change of address, but not a change of home phone number...
If it's alphabetical order, then I definitely didn't get in since my last name is at the very beginning of the alphabet 🙁 NYU was my top choice too. I just can't believe I wasted the whole day waiting by the phone only to get rejected. Second time I've done this. I even took it with me when I went to the bathroom. Forgive me if I sound bitter, but this is a bit of a disappointment for me and I need to vent a little 🙁

Had a break between work, checked voicemail, and sure enough a 212 area code. Looks like they want me to call them back tomorrow since its 5:40 EST now. 🙂
Btw, the number they call from is 212 263 7000.

Nope, my last name starts with a letter from the latter third of the alphabet. I'm from Cali and got the call at 4:30 Eastern Time
Accepted this afternoon, ~4pm EST. First acceptance, so excited!!! Last name near the end of the alphabet, by the by.
Congrats on the acceptances! Are any of you accepted folks MSTP? I'm wondering whether MSTP is on the same schedule as MD-only?

So um... I did get a call this afternooon, but it went to my home phone across the country and my parents were working late. So excited about NYC! 😍

EDIT: I'm not able to call them back til tomorrow morning, so I haven't received any acceptance email/status change/confirmation yet.

A few hours after I got the call and then email, my status changed from "Final Decision Pending" to "Accepted," with a link to pay the deposit right next to the status.

That's good to hear... My status page still says "Final Decision Pending". Hopefully I find out something tomorrow. Congrats to those who got accepted!
In my rumination on not hearing back today, I am ashamed that I completely forgot about the SDN community as a whole and those who are celebrating tonight. So to those who got accepted, congratulations! And to those who are still waiting,

Have people who have been accepted all received an email already? Sorry for the questions...I'm just anxiously refreshing my status page not knowing if it's futile.

I received an email about an hour after the phone call. It basically says to expect a hard copy letter in the mail and to pay your $100 deposit.
I would assume that they plan on accepting a lot more people soon. NYU accepts 400~ total so the fact that there are so few acceptances on here means that a lot more are coming.
