Yeah, I have already interviewed at one school. I can't find out the results until October 15 as a regular applicant though.
 
It'll be another 3-4 weeks if they follow last years schedule. More likely 4.

I stopped trusting last year's schedule, even though it was me who was posting expected dates of interview invites based on last year's schedule, lol.
USC didn't start until October last year, but is already giving out interviews.
Arizona-Tucson gave out interviews starting late July last year, but no news so far this year.
And so on. So lets hope Rush rushes in giving out interviews this year.

At first I misread that as "so lets hope Rush gives out interviews this year" and thought "uuuh... pretty sure they will".

Is it too late to turn in secondary now? The email Rush sent got lost in my inbox somehow.
 
yes it is plenty of time to still complete your application. i think they will send out interviews soon. best wishes and hope we hear something well from here! 🙂
 
It looks like Rush is sending out interview invites earlier this year. I just woke up to find an interview invite from them!

I did not expect to see interviews go out this early, but it was a GREAT way to start my morning.

Congrats! Rush is one of my top choices as well. I know several people who chose Rush over highly touted programs. I hear the environment is awesome.

32R, 3.77cGPA, 3.8sGPA, got it by email. For reference.

IS as well. It looks like IS applicants received invites this morning, so for all you OOS, stay patient, your day will come 🙂

somebody give me a hug i forgot to hit 'finalize' application back in mid july...so now i have to really wait. ahhhh
 
Just realized I had to pay by snail mail. Should have done that last week. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is a passport photo in which I was wearing a polo acceptable or I really have to be in a suit?

Interview Invite! IS and complete on August 2nd.

So, I have a physician is an alum from Rush who I know from a personal standpoint and he is willing to write me a letter or email on my behalf to the dean of admissions. Should I have him write a letter to present at interview, or email it to them? Just looking for opinions, thanks!

I think it would be stronger if you tell him to write a letter after you received an invite. But you can do it pre invite. I would wait a bit until for an invite before asking.

I think email would be fine.

I received an invite a few days ago. I don't know if a letter for the interviewer or a letter to the dean of admissions would be better use of his reference. He actually offered, so he's just waiting on what I think is best. Maybe an email is too informal?
 
quick question. could you classify volunteering in a veteran's home a non-health care related volunteering experience?

What were your responsibilities at the veterans' home?

Or were you actually volunteering at the home of a veteran (singular)? (note use of apostrophes)
 
My status was just updated today...any one else? So, what does this mean exactly, that they looked at my app and put me on hold??

According to my correspondence with Rush, they don't put applications on hold. They simple review them constantly and offer interviews that way. I thought the same thing, and the conveniently answered it in a recent email with them. Guess this is a good thing? :xf:

The Status page says, "AFTER COMPLETION OF FILE: Once the banner at the top of this page states "Your File Is Complete," this page will NOT provide any additional status information." So where exactly do we get the additional status information?

Look at the very bottem of the page. It will say "updated on...". For me it says 9/12/11, before it said 8/26 (the day I was complete).
