Yea you're right. 22 complete, 5 ii and I think 4 rejections though I can only think of 3 right now.

Regardless, acceptance phone calls went out today and I didn't get one. Ultra panic mode right now.

Most schools accept ~50% of interviewed students. That means you're looking at a 97% chance of getting into at least one of them based on pure luck of the draw. Considering your stats, I'd say 100% unless you gave all of your interviewers wet willies on the way out of the room.
 
So I had all schools completed at mid August. Just one II so far, 4 rejections. 34, 3.8. Until this point, should I start to worry? =[

FFS, I want more ****ing interviews! Jesus. I know my gpa is below average but I didn't think it would be this bad. I applied to about 30 schools early. Complete mid july, early august for most. Rejected from 5. Holds from 3 schools. 2 Interviews. ARRGH
 
I have a "relaxing recording" to share. Anyone who knows me even slightly can probably figure out who I am because of my obscure taste in music, but I'll post it anyway lol.

I've been intentionally staying away from SDN for the last month or so to avoid panicking. But I thought I'd come back to say: Not a single interview invite yet. Just a bunch of swimming in "pools." Cool.
 
I was complete at almost all my schools during August. 1 rejection, 2 holds, and 0 interviews 🙁 Stats are: 3.4/35, excellent LORs and good research (no publications though). Is now a good time to start looking at options for a gap year?

I'm with ya. Complete everywhere by end of August, 3.65/32, tons of research, lots of clinical experience, (assuming) good LORs. 3 rejections, 2 holds, 0 interviews. Silence from the other 11 schools.

Also slightly depressing that this has to be my first post on SDN as a longtime lurker. Need some words of encouragement here!

I swear there's something fishy this cycle. I know of two >3.8 c/sGPA, >35 MCATs, complete before/during August, and good all around applications with few to no interviews even while applying broadly. Sorry guiz 🙁 That's the kind of stuff that makes SDN neurotic.

Hoping for some encouragement here as well haha. My MCAT turned out to be a total surprise after weeks worrying, I'm kind of hoping I'll get an unexpected interview invite the same way :xf:

Hopefully this is indeed rock bottom for those of us with no interviews! Every time I check my email I am crossing my fingers I get invites, not rejections.

Glad to know I'm not the only one who hasn't heard from ~20 schools yet!
 
Still nothing....even though I couldn't even hear back from most places I interviewed at till later this month (or beyond...), and two places until today, SDN still has a way of making it seem as though it's all over... :scared:

If the "refresh" button for my email account could break...I think it would have keeled over from overuse sometime between yesterday morning and now.

Got my first II this afternoon after posting the previous freak out a few hours before. Must have been good luck! Thanks for the encouragement everyone, hopefully this is a good sign that the IIs start rolling in for everybody. :xf:

We're the same person. 3.65/32, sounds like similar ECs, 0 interviews.

If I was complete at most schools by mid to late September should I not be too worried? I know a few posters were complete much earlier than me and are in similar situations, but I'm really hoping I start hearing back from some places...I just want to get one interview :cry:

If your app is super competitive, I've had friends who've gotten interviews the following week after being complete. But if you're a more average applicant like me, you might have to wait for at least 1 month before hearing back. It's still early for you. Just my thoughts but I could be way off since this process is such a mystery.
 
That awkward moment when someone with multiple interviews asks you how your application is going...🙁
 
One Interview and apparently it did not go as well as I thought because I have my first official rejection.

I'm seriously going crazy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NO II, I know I'm not suppose to get them yet as I was complete between 9/15-10/6 (26schools) BUT IM DIEING :[

Same, I've been comforting myself by saying that people usually don't hear back until a month but IT'S PASSING THE 1 MONTH MARK!!! 😱

I've actually been looking into grad school applications to comfort myself recently. 😳

It's been about two months since being complete at most schools for me...
 
i wouldn't say im panicking but i'm def discouraged. I got rejected from a school I rly liked yesterday and I thought my interview went great. I'm still waiting to hear from EVMS but i'm not that optimistic bc I felt like I bombed my interview....luckily I still have 3 more upcoming interviews. PLEASE LET ME GET JUST ONE ACCEPTANCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 
I truly do not understand this process, but I disagree that applicants with above-average stats will get interview invites earlier than average or below average applicants. It's a random process, and though above-average applicants have a higher chance of getting early invites, average applicants like me should not lose hope. I'm 3.56cGPA/32Q and I already have three interview invites to my top choice schools (including one from an Ivy).

Please do not let other SDNers discourage you from hoping for that invite. They will come in due time. Just be patient.
 
Most of schools I applied are dead silent... It just wrecks my nerves when others who were complete later than me get an interview... Pleaseee
 
Canadian applicant who submitted secondaries to 12 schools so far, looking to submit 3 more by the end of the week for 15
One hold so far (Kentucky) with no interviews. I hope my late application didn't kill me because my amcas was verified just one week ago. FML.
