I added 5 schools this week...VA carillion, Quinnipiac, Cooper med school of Rowan, TCMC, and Marshall.

Edit: I added VA Carillion earlier this week and when I paid for it, I got an email confirmation. I added the rest of the schools today and an error occurred and I didn't get the email confirmation saying I paid but on the application site, it says my balance due is $0.00 and the schools i added today was listed. Is it paid?

THANKS GUYS!!! I didn't really want to post in this thread, because I didn't want it to seem like I was "rubbing" it anybody's faces, and the last thing a panicker needs to see is more acceptances for other people. But I have to say, I am truly touched to read everyone's kind words, thank you all! It's crazy how someone can feel so good from reading words from strangers who he does not know.

As a fellow panicker as of two days ago, I know that saying "hang in there guys, you will get accepted soon," doesn't really help or make anyone feel better. I thought about it a little, and all I have to say is that the more stress, anxiety and pressure you have felt, the longer you have waited, and the more times you have thought to yourself that you might not make it, it just means that the greater the feeling will be for you when you get accepted. This waiting is cruel, but if there is any "good" thing to come out of it, is that you will appreciate and feel better about your acceptance more than someone who did not go through what you had to go through. I wish you all the best in you're applications! I have truly benefited from this thread and all of the encouragement you guys have provided me. Thanks again everyone!

Can someone give me a reality check? Panic is starting to turn into numbness. I can rationalize that with ~9 schools yet to respond that I'm still in the running, but I might need someone to tell me what I want to hear. Complete everywhere since August, 2 II, 3 rejections.

I honestly think you stand a great shot, I'm surprised you haven't heard more yet. Hang in there.

You're on the same track another ~3.8/~36 I know is on, while I know a ~30 ~3.8 with ~10 interviews. It happens, hang in there, bud. UW and NU are both amazing schools.

Definitely already started looking at grad school programs. Doing my gap year at Hopkins doesn't help any of this either, everyone already has multiple IIs and some have acceptances. And they always throw the "don't worry, it's still early, everything will work out" line at me. Easy for them to say. Plus I sit on a computer most of the day and even though I try not to, I end up checking email and status sites way too much. Thankfully everyone on this thread understands it. Putting all my eggs in the basket for my one interview!!!

Dude serious? I'm from Hopkins too! I'm in exactly the same boat. 1 interview as of now. Glad I'm not the only one from school sweating over this

My only attended interview thus far has resulted in a rejection. I'm at a loss for anything now, and with the way the rest of my app has gone, I think I might be one of those 10% of people with my scores and grades to not get an acceptance this cycle. Sure, it's pretty early. But when your own state school doesn't want you despite far exceeding their academic criteria...

What has been the reception, if any, to e-sports on your app? I was debating for a while whether to put my WoW involvement on mine since it was a significant time commitment, but ultimately decided against it.

Rough bro, but maybe they rejected you cuz they thought they were your safety school, which does happen. I mean, your app looks insanely strong so maybe they got insecure.

I try not to make myself too vulnerable on these forums for that same reason, too many people who'd rather make a joke than help another person out or simply just, listen. Pretty much the reason none of my close-friends are pre-med, they seem to have the worst attitudes on average.

I can bet anyone with only one or two invites that happen to be at top schools feels that they should be panicking even more 🙂 Because it'll be harder to get an acceptance here compared to a lower ranked school. With that said, I guess I won't be truly panicking until the end of January when those decisions come out. For all I know, these could be my only interviews for this cycle

Jumping in late. Just found this thread as I've been staying only in the school specific area.

Older non-trad. 3.6/32. Some research. Much volunteering and leadership. Average clinical experience.
Complete with TMDSAS in June. AMCAS verified in June, but not complete at most schools until 1st week of August, when my last LOR rolled in. (So much for all the effort I put into the early application. Hope that's not what screwed me, considering I'm an average applicant.)

- 4 rejections (pre-interview)

- 4 ii, all already attended (A very exciting start to the cycle as they all came within 10 days...in August. No good news in the last 2 months.)

Outcomes:
2 waitlists (1 alternate list, 1 hold status)
2 schools I likely won't hear from until February when TX matches​

- Silence from 21 schools.

Hearing how early it was used to make me feel better, but I don't at all believe that it's early anymore. In my home state (TX) where I have received 2 ii out of 7 schools, it is actually quite late in the season. Interviews are being scheduled in mid-November, and most schools stop interviewing in December.

I hate that you are all in similar frustrating positions...but I do feel in better company having seen this. There are so many of us here that we can't just be the few exceptions. Surely good things are to come.
