Well actually, I thought about it, and it was less than 2 weeks after my interview, and they don't ever mail decisions before 3 weeks post-interview, and even that's on the early side.
Also, the adcom meets on Mondays and my interview was on a Monday so there was only one Monday that passed between my interview and the email. Knowing how adcoms work the chances of them having gone over my file during that meeting are pretty slim...no? Also that woman didn't even interview me - she just gave the people who applied to the joint MD/grad program an orientation. As far as I know she does not sit on the adcom.
Also, since it's so late in the cycle I'd imagine they'd be pretty backed up by now. I just can't seem to get a positive interview verdict. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I even went to a coach who gave me 2 mock interviews....(he's a med student who is trained by a company to do these interviews). I also don't know whether it was because I'm a terrible interviewee or because of my GPA.
On the other hand, that email SCREAMED rejection. The fact that she sent it to me a week and a half after I sent it, the fact that the woman would be working extensively with me should I be accepted (so the "good luck with your future academic endeavors" seems super dismissive, under the assumption that these endeavors will be elsewhere and not involve her.
I dunno....what do you think?
