would we get the email on Wednesday? Or will it just be just our interview status going away?
are the ones hearing back later the rejection group? I'm gonna cry....

I'm morning, so who knows how they do this.

I sure hope we hear back before the break. I'm getting really excited, I really wanna go here.

I know most admissions committees take a break during the holidays. So if no news this week, good chance we won't hear anything till early jan
 
So I found out via my status page that I was accepted but have not received any email yet. Anybody else?

I am the opposite. I got an email but my status page is blank. Hmmm

I'm am too, I didn't think anyone else in our group was on SDN. Were you the 1st table or 2nd? (when we got there)

I was on the table on the right when we walked in, got there late so I dunno which table came first.
 
I believe they meet on most Wednesdays.

Edit: Actually that doesn't make much sense now that I think about it considering interview days are on mon and weds. So I am not sure haha

Itt's possible they meet after interviews...during our interview info session she definitely said they were meeting afterwards - and that was a Wednesday.

Anyone have any new info to add? What are our prospects of hearing back tomorrow? also, are decisions sent out the same day that your interview status screen goes away?

I want in! ah!!!!!

Usually what I have seen and from personal experience the interview status goes away near the end of the week usually thursday or friday and then the decision comes monday. From looking on here most of those whose status disappears and the decision they get on the monday is good (either acceptance or HPA). Hang in there, I know its can be a long wait and there is going to be a lot of movement even for those on HPA.

Thanks. If they do plan on rejecting me then will my interview status not disappear? Ouch

Honestly I do not know about this, looking at this thread so far mostly those who have had the interview message disappear are getting acceptances or HPA, I do not think anyone has reported getting rejected after the message disappears. Its something that you will just have to wait and see :/
 
I interviewed here on Oct 31. Status page has not changed since. Still says "Congratulations on Interview!".
Anybody else in a similar boat?

+1. Almost all decisions made so far were on Mondays.
 
I think it's kind of weird that people who interviewed two weeks prior to my date still haven't gotten decisions. I am sure you guys will find out soon though!

I'm one of those 11/7 without status changing nor decision.... Efkjsdksjdfhksdhfjksdf........
 
I interviewed 10/24 (7 weeks ago) and only found out this past monday. They are just backed up.

They may be backed up but I still don't understand how I got a decision before people who interviewed weeks before me. It's just sort of strange how they seem to be doing it. I definitely feel for people who are still waiting though.

I think there is a lot of movement on that list. Stay positive. We're you morning or afternoon interviewee on November 7th? Also, when did your status page to away?

I was the afternoon group and my status went away this morning I believe. I think I received the email around the same time that my status went away. I wasn't sure which one first. Before I went to bed at 3am, my status was still there, but after my morning final at 11am, my status was gone. When I checked my email after checking my status, my decision was waiting for me....

Has anyone gotten rejected pre-interview or does everyone pretty much get pre-interview hold?

I'm pretty sure a lot of people are on hold at SUNY Upstate, but I don't believe that they put EVERYONE on hold. ...Cuz it just doesn't make sense

I interviewed 11/5 and my interview status disappeared last week...only to return today. I wonder what that means?
 
I have been placed on a pre-interview hold...(All candidates who have their applications placed on HOLD will have their application reviewed a second time once the entire applicant pool has been reviewed.)
--- Maybe I'm just reading this incorrectly, but is this the typical hold where the school is unsure about you and just keeping you around to see if anyone better comes along OR is this a good thing? 😕

Unfortunately, only a small number of people on pre-interview hold get an interview (they are informed sometime in January). Most people on pre-interview hold get rejected. This is the sense I got from my last application to Upstate.

Still silence! What in the freaking heck. It's been 6 weeks already that's double to triple the 2-3 weeks they assured us.

Every time I open that page I hope I see some sort of "accepted", but no cigar this morning.

I'll let you know if this is accurate...my campus preference is displayed but I have not been accepted (or waitlisted, or rejected) yet.

Edit: the quote says that *campus choice* stays as 'not entered' until you are accepted
