I interviewed at multiple places last year that I would estimate would be 20:1. I don't think that is uncommon. They know everyone on that list will come because we are competitive people, and then they get to rank the candidates that stand out.
I think the lowest ratio I calculated was 10:1. The highest being 20:1. I think more places go toward that higher number if I had to guess.

Did anyone else's MEEI email invite contain FW: in the subject? My invite was time stamped after 11am, significantly after sss39 posted. This put me at a significant scheduling disadvantage in the "Interview slots will be filled on a first come basis" system, and I'm not sure what to do other than cancel some other interviews and travel plans.

True, but this forum is full of top tier applicants. It's amazing how many personal messages I received in the past few minutes asking me what date I got, whether I got a confirmation of it, and whether I want to switch dates. And yet not a single one answered my original FW question. I guess you have to look out for number one.

And shemarty, I got passed/silent rejected by Cleveland Clinic and Duke without any formal rejection notifications. I just assume that I am rejected any time someone posts on this list and I don't get the invite at the same time. Good luck!

Do you guys know if programs rank all interviewees, or just a select few? Obviously the most impressive applicants will be rank higher and so forth, but say a program interviews 60 ppl for 4 spots, would they rank only the best 10, 30, or all 60?

I've heard that there's a second wave of interviews after Nov 1, but haven't got any invites in November.

Have other people been getting a lot of post-nov 1 invites? Starting to get a little worried that there are no more invites to be had!

I'm sure there will be soon. I have talked to a bunch of people on the interview trail who are double booked on several dates but still have not canceled those interviews.
 
I really hope you're right... I've also heard several people at interviews being double booked. No offers so far 🙁
