I took the MCAT on April 27, which, I know, was a very short time ago. I'm aware of the official score release dates posted on AMCAS, but I wanted to ask those of you who have taken the MCAT this year and have received your scores: were they close to the projected date? I only ask because it seems a little silly to hold the scores for a month when no writing portion was taken, but that's another topic for another thread that's already been beaten to death.

They will always be released on the projected date. The 30-day wait has nothing to do with there being a writing section or not, the results were never instantaneous. There's no writing section on USMLE exams and you have to wait for those results, too.

I know it has nothing to do with the writing portion, I guess I was just curious about this year; more wishful thinking than anything. Thanks, though.

I believe they stated on their twitter a while back that the month is needed for them to analyze testing conditions and make sure that the scores were done correctly or something to that effect. Good luck on your MCATs!
