A friend applied to the general track and didn't hear anything yet. Since the dates were track-specific, it's likely they haven't sent out the other tracks yet 🙂
 
1 to 2 interviews Match rate = 52% n = 385
3 to 4 interviews Match rate = 69% n = 516
5 to 6 interviews Match rate = 85% n = 538
7 to 8 interviews Match rate = 92% n = 433
9 to 10 interviews Match rate = 95% n = 355
11 or more interviews Match rate = 99% n = 417

I thought I'd post this (results from 2011 survey) to point out that, even with only 1-2 interviews, the MAJORITY of people matched. I realize we all tend to put ourselves in the smaller percentage, but I think looking at the actual stats is a pretty good reminder that the odds are with us.
 
Has anyone heard from: Montana State University, Washington State University, University of Idaho, or VA Puget Sound American Lake?

I think it depends on the site/how you feel about it. I've had two interviews and have sent thank you notes. I kept them really short (a few lines) and didn't say anything about the ranking process or matching. The thing to remember is that sites most likely will not write back to TY notes -- so if that will create anxiety for you, maybe best not to send any Thank Yous. It's certainly not required.

It would also be alright to send an e-mail thanking them for the interview and letting them know one last time why you would be a good match for their site.

Just keep in mind that these rates combine both APPIC and APA internships and the rate for APA is lower (only 62% of applicants matched to APA sites last year).

I haven't heard anything yet either. I heard that they sent out notifications late last year, so I wasn't expecting anything until next week. Until I saw the health psych track go out...who knows

Totally true, there are many variables not listed in these surveys. A big one might be how many of those people WANTED APA sites. I know there's several large programs that tell their students that APA accreditation is not a big deal. This seems like an ethical issue, but at the least it could also make a large number of those who matched to non-APA programs be due to the fact that they didn't really try to only get APA accredited ones.

They did change training directors. I noticed it within the knick of time before sending out the application. I also had a panic moment about it (and all other TDs at other sites).

Seems that sites are using a template. There is no way several sites have the EXACT same wording.

"We regret that we are not able to offer you an interview for an internship position, and we will not be listing you on our submission to the Match. We had many more qualified applicants than we could realistically interview or rank.
We appreciate the effort you took in applying. Per APPIC policies, we are informing you of our decision before our deadline of December 15 so you can finalize your interview schedule with other programs."
 
Has anyone heard from Institute for Multicultural Counseling and Education Services in LA? Their notification date is listed as the 5th. Probably going to email Monday if I don't hear.

I talked to the Maine TD (super nice) and she said they were meeting at the beginning of the week, so should be Monday!! I know the added wait stinks but I hope that removes some stress 🙂!
 
Has anyone heard from WestCoast Children's Clinic? They're supposed to notify by today, but I haven't heard a peep. Anyone else waiting or heard?

Waiting on this one as well, as is someone else on this thread I think. Their APPIC directory listing says they'll notify of interviews no later than 12/15... so I guess Monday! Granted, seems like some of their other tracks already notified...

Yep, waiting on this one as well. I figure we'll hear soon, as it seemed like they were going down the track list (Adult heard first, then Adult/Child combo).

Someone mentioned WestCoast...waiting for that one, too. I know some staff members there. Looks like they're just running late. Here's to hoping!

Me too! I wasn't so sure about San Francisco but received a phone call around 12pm PST 🙂
