Hi guys,

In the answer it says the boy would get X from the mother, but why wouldn't he get Xc from the mom? The Y will be coming from the dad, but if the mom is XXc, isn't it 50/50 that the kid will get either X or Xc?

Thanks for any help!

The problem states that the child's mother was normal and did not carry the gene for color blindness. Go back and reread the question, you may have read it too quickly.

Blah, you are right. The question says the man's mother was a carrier. I got the two moms mixed up 😛
