@smiley buckeye -- That's AWESOME! Congrats!! Maybe I'll get to see you on the IU campus soon 😉 But dear goodness, can we talk about that email?! Hahaha yes, I went through all of the emotions yesterday for sure. It was so hard to tell if it was an invite. I'm still a little confused about what the next step will be. I haven't received the "official" invite yet as they said we would but I think I'm still going to email them back the form. Hopefully I'm doing this right!

Hey! New to this forum, applicant for this cycle but most of my apps weren't completed till around 8/15...hence no IIs or rejections yet ha. Anyway, was just wondering if anyone receiving any II submitted only new 2015 MCAT scores. I'm curious what sorts of scores MD/PhD programs will accept for the new test. Correlation =/= causation. I highly doubt 518 will prevent you from getting interviews.

The wait is awful for sure, but after looking at last year's thread, it seems that most schools are pretty quiet until September anyway. September and October seem to be the big II months. And after that it's pretty scattered. So we just have to be patient a little bit longer, I hope. 🙂

By the way, I spoke with a chair of MD/PhD admissions, who told me that they have noticed a slight inverse correlation between MCAT and grad school success. So, don't worry that much about your MCAT (at least for some schools)--my impression is that research experience and being able to convince the committee that you're committed to finishing grad school trumps the MCAT any day.

@pineapplecake Yep Perelman!! I was also super surprised, but I am excited beyond belief. I think their IIs go out by graduate group, so neuro or immuno may not be out yet.
