I heard from HR on Monday. They called and e-mailed as well. As said, they give you 3 days to accept or decline the offer. Has anyone accepted the offer ? Anyone in Minnesota?

I am trying to contact them as well and it does take a long time. What is the best way to reach them (emial or call) I tried both 🙁

I heard yesterday afternoon! I can't access the on boarding link but my hr person said they would email me information about getting on it by Monday.

Hang in there. I felt the same way, but I was contacted this morning around 10:30. I'm going to Florida 🙂 Lol I think my wife is even more excited than me.
 
I haven't received an offer yet, however I did receive another PHAP CHAT email. Is anyone else in the same boat?

Same here, just got another PHAP CHAT email...no offer yet. I did put my preferences on the west coast..and it seems like most of them so far have been east coast offers.

I haven't received either of those. But looking good for me.
 
All my preferences were east coast, no offer but I have been getting the chats. This is starting to suck. 🙁

What does everyone's last name start with? Hahaha.... Ha. Ha. 🙁

My preferences were all over the place, so it's hard to tell whether I will get an offer. I thought I did well in the interview, but I'm beginning to doubt myself.

My last name starts with P, if that helps haha

Also, I have been getting the PHAP Chat emails.
 
Starting to doubt myself as well. But hey... Law of attraction! Power of positivity! If you think you did well in the interview, you probably did. 🙂 Last night I heard that they are aiming to have all offers made by July.... So I think we still have time.... Let's take some collective deep breaths.... If only I could take my own advice!

Last name starts with C, have been getting the emails, regions were both West and East Coast...no offers. AHHH!
 
I don't know if this helps at all but my last name starts with M. My hr person said that she was working overtime in the evenings to make the calls. I'm sure they aren't even close to done so stay positive! I accepted the tentative offer today. Anyone know much about Wilmington, NC?
 
Thank you guys! I am so glad I'm not the only one thinking all of these things.
I figured maybe they were going by region, then by coast, last name, MPH or Bachelor's status etc. 🤣
As everyone has said, its still very early! Keep calm and trust the law of attraction!

I received a call got offered a position this morning!!!!! I'm so ECSTATIC!! I haven't received my email yet, but she said I should get one today or tomorrow. Location is Florida, but she couldn't tell me what city. Anyone else got Florida yet?
 
For those who got offers in Florida and have any questions, let me know. I'm from South Florida, but live in North Central. If you have questions about those two areas, I can try to help out!

It's so weird that she didn't tell me what part of FL, and I noticed everyone else found out their exact location. I looked on the CDC website and noticed a lot of the positions are in Miami/Fort Lauderdale area.

I am from the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area actually, and I'll be moving back there in a few weeks. Like I said, if you have any questions about living there, let me know!

I received an offer.

I am not sure what is your question. But, post interview, I got a call from HR and then emails which are basically invitation to the USA Staffing Onboarding Manager Entrance on Duty System. Does this help?

NB: During the interview they told me that, they will start sending offers in mid-june to August.
 
Some people on here said they received an email last week with a video from the cdc director and today people have stated receiving other emails about associates experience in the phap. I think that is what they are referring to.
 
Just received a call 3 mins ago. 770 area code. I also received the email sent to all applicants, today. My preferences were West Coast Region . I live in Arizona but I was offered Reno Nevada. Whew! The wait is over.

I also receive an offer for Florida this morning.I still haven't received my email yet either, but she told me they would be sent out by the end of today. Didn't tell me what city either.
 
I was told Reno,Nevada, Washoe County Health Department. No email yet either but said I should receive it later today.
 
Just wanted to ask those who have gotten offers -- did you all receive those two update emails (the first from CDC director and the second with PHAP snapshots)? Also, were they both addressed "to all 2015 PHAP applicants" or something general like that?
 
Hi everyone I'm a new poster I was referred to this forum by a friend of mine that applied to the program last year I just sat and read all the posts and am wondering why I haven't found this group earlier..lol it probably would have saved me some stress..I received a phone call today about 5 EST and will be placed in Miami Florida..congrats to those that have received notice..good luck to those that are still waiting..they are still making calls
 
Yes I received both emails. The one with the CDC director and the one for today. I got my offer today at about 1pm today Arizona time.

Wheeeew okay, I was getting nervous I even thought maybe it was a prank call. Everyone else is getting exact locations, and I just get Florida! I still haven't received an email. Where are you coming from? Did you accept/decline?

Hi recently got a reply and am going to Miami just am curious how the housing and living expenses are and maybe the best area to begin my housing search

Living in Miami is pretty expensive, but possible on small budget. I'd recommend looking at areas north of Miami like Fort Lauderdale even, but that requires commuting. Avoid Opa Locka and Liberty City, as those are dangerous neighborhoods. If you are willing to commute, Hollywood and Hallandale Beach are nice areas for the most part, but are considered Broward County. Coral Gables, Coconut Grove, Miami Shores, and East Kendall are pretty nice neighborhoods within Miami.
If you are considering commuting from further up north, you can take the Tri Rail down to Miami. You can get around Miami using public transport like the Metrorail and Metrobus. The further northwest you go, the harder it is to get around using public transport. Florida is very spread out and it gets hot, so you don't want to be standing at a bus stop when it gets to 90 degrees. If you don't have a car, I'd seriously recommend getting one.

Thanks..I do have a car so maybe I'll look for something on the outskirts of Ft. Lauderdale

I accepted and will be coming from PA. Still haven't got my email though which is nerve-racking. Did you get yours tonight?

I received both of the e-mails.
 
I'm from Miami FL, and definitely recommend the Kendall area. If you get placed in Miami, the commute from FT Lauderdale or Broward County in general is not recommendable (in case anyone was wondering). It's about an hour away (on a good day) and rush hour traffic is absolutely ridiculous. Having a car in most cities can be seen as a luxury or unnecessary expense. In Miami it is borderline a necessity. I have heard nothing but bad things about the public transportation here.
