Hi everyone, Im polling students to see what the best pre-courses are. I think this google form will be a little clearer than the comments section here.

I hope this can help everyone figure out which of these incredibly expensive programs to buy.

The "Why did you choose those programs?" section made me laugh!!!

I must say, NYMC tends to use a lot of formal Step 1 board prep stuff by their students.

no first aid, no pathoma, no goljan, no usmlerx but you have princeton review, kaplan high yield and picmonic?

your survey results don't seem legit either, i don't know a single person who didn't use uworld but plenty of people didn't use dit mostly because it costs like 700 dollars but is worth maybe 200 at most

Paying attention in class + UFAP (UWorld + First Aid + Pathoma) is the spine of your board prep. Other books I read to supplement my knowledge base largely came from Taus Method of Step 1 prep.

Board prep courses take too much time IMO. If you're going to try them out, I suggest you do them before your dedicated study time if that's possible. Otherwise, save your money for residency interviews, Step II fees, etc., etc. ...
