So I know the AMCAS time line, opens in may to start filling in info, submit around June 1st, but haven't found the same kinda timeline info for DO apps. I seem to remember they don't have this same "month to fill out but not submit" timeline correct?

The DO cycle is just longer. Its still in your best interest to apply sooner rather than later. I think @Goro says November/December is starting to be late.

Exactly, why I'm trying to figure out my timeline to submit on day 1 like I'm going to do with my reapp with MD...

You can begin working on the application in May. Applications are sent out to DO schools mid June.

You can start working on and submitting it on may 5th. The applications will be sent to schools on June 15. As long as you are verified by June 15, you'll be good. This past year, I submitted around may 20 and was verified in 3 weeks.

Just curious: did this change from last year? I thought all apps were sent to schools on 1 Jun 2015 last year.

I believe that's for amcas. For the DO app, it was around June 15 last year

So correct me if I'm wrong, but the day the app opens you can submit for verification for DO is what you are saying? Thats kinda what I was getting at - unlike with AMCAS were you have the month of "work on app but can't submit"

App opens, you can work on it, get everything done. If its done before June 15th, it gets sent out to the schools you want to apply to on the 15th. If its not complete, you complete it and it gets sent out whenever everything is ready.

Right but again, because of verification timing, submitting the first 5 minutes vs the second day can make a huge difference (at least with AMCAS - one day tacked on 7+ days of verification time. I waited for my quarter grades to post and had a 30 day wait). But as I understand it with aacomas it opens and you can submit immediately (but obviously technically have to wait for transcripts, letters, etc).

I just want to have my stuff in and be verified ASAP. More for my own mental health than anything
