I am not but yes his/her name does! I am in the BMS program at Wayne SOM so maybe that put me on a list. I also know they are actively trying to recruit more women. Are you URM?

Yes, I'm URM/woman got the email like a week ago. Hope this is a good sign.

I submitted the secondary a couple weeks ago and it was 3 days past the 2 week mark. Do you think this will affect me? Adcom said to go ahead and submit but I'm kind of freaking out. My partner goes here as a 3rd year and I'm trying to relocate from CA.

Stats: 507 MCAT, 3.57 GPA, 6+ years research (3 of which are clinical) at top 10 school, pubs, presentations, awards, and thousands of community service hours in clinical and non clinical settings...

i got an interview here last year and i submitted my secondary about 3 weeks after receiving it
 
Does anyone know if there is a correct acronym for Wayne State University School of Medicine that I can use in the secondary? It would save me a lot of characters lol
 
Interview invite received this morning :clap:. Of course the link to schedule the interview isn't working, and no one is picking up the phone, so now I need to wait for an email response. Sigh

I was on the phone with the tech guy for almost an hour and they can't seem to get this site to work :S they finally told me to just try again later
 
So the page is opening at least, but I can't reserve one. It is saying "Invalid or missing CSRF token."

Congrats for those with II! For those of you that are complete, did you receive an email or did you know through portal (if so how)? Thanks. I have all the right boxes checked and called admissions on 8/10. They told me that my file was complete and under review but I'm not sure of the actual date that I became complete on.. oh well
 
Can anyone confirm that we only have to stay for the duration of our interview session, and not also for the 2nd?

I booked 8:30-12 and want to make sure I'm okay to purchase a 4:30 flight that afternoon.

What's your residency? From what I'm seeing, it seems like most, if not all, the II's going out this week are OOS/Canadians. Maybe trying to fill most of their OOS quota first or something? I've heard some schools do that, not sure if it's true or not....

I'm a MI resident. maybe that's true, but guess i'll find out eventually
 
Just to confirm, it says "Med School in for Review," when your application is complete right? And they don't send an email?
 
It brings me joy to visit these threads and remember the excitement of getting accepted (which was only last year but I love the dramatics). Congrats to everyone that was accepted so far! Good luck to everyone else!

I don't think anyone's been accepted to WSU yet this cycle, right?
 
DO schools are offering acceptances. I don't think MD schools have yet.
 
I got this secondary a tremendously long time ago - like 5 weeks ago - and I just finished. Reading people on this forum worried about being "3 days past the 2 week mark" is making me doubt if its worth the 100 bucks to submit 🙁

I know 2 weeks is the general "rule" but I cant find any info on their site that says anything about 2 weeks

99.99% sure that it's just that time slot (that would be one long day haha). They also e-mailed me a conformation of the time slot. But if you're still worried, you could give them a call and ask if there is a possibility that the interview will run later than the allotted time, as you want to plan your flight accordingly 🙂
