Has anyone had their interview here yet and can offer some advice on what to expect? It seems like this is their first year of doing MMI with the traditional interview, so I was wondering how organized/efficient the whole process is and how it is different from past years. Thank!
On the checklist, or email?I just received an II this morning! So excited.
Both, but I found out via the email. On the checklist, or email?
Congrats!!
Complete date? What dates are available for II?
Congrats! Email or checklist?I've been waiting a long time to post this to a school-specific thread but finally..... II!!!

We signed an agreement not to share information but it is a very organized process. They send you an email and provide you with enough information to understand the process/timeline.
How long is the one on one? 30 mins? 1 hour?
🤔
For those who have interviewed, I see that it's part MMI station, but is the thing with a member from the admissions committee a 1-on-1 interview? Or is it a group interview? It's super unclear in the email
The traditional interview portion is 1 on 1. The length probably varies but I would be prepared for a 30min - 1 hour time frame.
II!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Super excited. Non Trad 518, 3.5. early august submit.
just got notified now?II!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Super excited. Non Trad 518, 3.5. early august submit.

No, got notified in the morning. Didn't have a chance to update here since I was at work all day. I guess there isn't a lot of information about the interview process besides the email.just got notified now?
congrats none the less!!!
For future posters who receive an II, can you do the rest of us waiting a solid and include the date your secondary was complete, and stats -if you don't mind sharing? That would be awesome. Thanks in advance!

Is this the first year wayne is using MMI?
Any idea if this school pays attention to in the area emails? I will be flying out to MI for an interview at WMed and it would be nice to save a little bit of money.
Last year they interviewed 671 according to MSARHow many people does Wayne State typically interview?

Actually, in terms of your mcat, you hit Wayne's average mark. I know their old mcat average was a 32, but when I called admissions a while back, they said a 507 was their average score for the 2016 entering class. And on a previous webinar they stated having around a 70 percentile would be competitive.
I know Wayne isn't the only school that has had its average change, but it's still interesting. Good luck!
That is actually really interesting. Didn't realize the new MCAT has divided up the competition so much. Seems it might be harder to score as well? Or maybe somewhat of a learning curve as we all adjust to itActually, in terms of your mcat, you hit Wayne's average mark. Were the MMI's fun?
They also made a huge diversity push over their last class. Lower SES applicants and URMs. Good on them for really looking at the whole picture. That is actually really interesting. Were the MMI's fun?
Absolutely not. It was fun talking with everyone and hearing their reactions afterwards though.

Yea I heard this as well but you wouldn't be able to tell from the interviewee pool today it was pretty homogenous
IDK man there were a lot of Canadians.Yea I heard this as well but you wouldn't be able to tell from the interviewee pool today it was pretty homogenous
Pretty sure that doesn't count.IDK man there were a lot of Canadians.
i should have included the /j for I was joking. Also you cant tell how many of the interviewee's came from SES deprived backgrounds just by looking at them.Pretty sure that doesn't count.

If Wayne sends out an acceptance how long does one have to accept?
3 weeks according to MSAR.If Wayne sends out an acceptance how long does one have to accept?
How much time do we get at each interview station for the MMI? And how much time between stations?
5 minutes per station. You have about a minute in between to read the next prompt then back into the rooms for 5 minutes.

This is really helpful. Thank you!!
