There is lots of movement off the waitlist for wayne I believe.
I am trying to figure this out as well. I logged into the portal and couldn't figure it out.
Its there. One of the middle rows, not the bottom status row.
Anyone know what our chances of acceptance are after we have an interview invitation? For OOS applicants specifically. Thank you

ACCEPTED!!! Literally got the e-mail during class and could not process the news until I got home to my apartment. Just started bawling out of nowhere... I am still in complete disbelief

Has anyone confirmed whether this is the case or a myth? (1000 ii this year vs 700 ii last year)?
I asked at my interview earlier this month and they said they were not interviewing more than normal but a few people on here heard different when they called.

I see, thank you! This is what the tracker says right now. Wait, so do the 460 requested interviews INCLUDE the 272 interviews completed? If yes, then I think youre right about it being on track for 700, not 1000
Yup! Includes conducted interviews in the 460. Maybe they thought they were on track to request more but changed their mind? Crazier things have happened *cough, Mayo, cough* lol

If last year's stats say anything about this year's acceptance rate post-interview, the stats say good things: acceptance rate IS - 69.4 percent (520 interviewed, 361 accepted); OOS - 70.99 percent (231 interviewed, 164 accepted). Source - US NEWS
Pretty sure they get a lot of movement. Had a friend who got into Wayne off the waitlist a couple years ago.

So you're telling me that people with interview invitations HAVE A 70% CHANCE OF GETTING IN? I was expecting 25-40%. Are these statistics seriously telling me that I have a larger chance of getting into Wayne State than getting rejected? This is way too good to be true
Most schools have a relatively high post II acceptance rate. Usually 50% plus. They have to accept more because not every acceptee matriculates.

+1 for the waitlist. Interviewed August 8th. IS. 
While I have no actual premise to base this assumption on, I can't imagine they would put this many people on a waitlist if they didn't have any intention of accepting a substantial portion of them. There's no reason why they couldn't just reject us if that was their intention.

Interviewed here yesterday and I was thoroughly impressed with Wayne! They truly do offer the "full package" that many medical students desire. Congratulations to all of you who received acceptances yesterday! All of your hard work over the years paid off! For those of you on the waitlist, honestly do not panic. I have multiple friends who currently attend WSUSOM and all of them were initially waitlisted. Many individuals who initially gain acceptances withdraw after receiving offers from their top choices. There is more "waitlist movement" at WSU than any other school in the country.
Congratulations to those that got accepted! To those that got put on the Alternate List, it's not the end of the road. A good chunk of my class got accepted from the Alternate List. I highly encourage you all to keep your files updates with any activities or projects you may be working on in the meantime. Best of luck to the rest of the applicants interviewing soon!
So, after looking at the tracker, it means that all those who have not received any II, they have to be rejected sooner or later!
Don't say that 🙁. I really expected receiving an II from Wayne being an IS applicant. Complete 7/28 and still nothing.
Don't they give out like 700 interviews? They aren't there yet......close but not yet!

yup. they interview around 700 and they're at like 460. ya'll aren't out of the running yet!

There are 526 IIs that have been sent ( which include the conducted ones) , so if in total they are only giving out 700 IIs , less than 200 IIs left to be sent out!!! but some ppl were saying 1000 are being sent out this year!!! is that correct?
Is anyonw accepted from the waitlist earlier than that?
It is possible to happen every month! They reevaluate everyone and the people with the most votes get accepted! That's how it was explained to me anyone so don't worry too much!

II this morning! Second one this season! Complete 9/28, OOS. Was actually planning on visiting in less than a week, so this is a surprise to me.
Anyone else having trouble with logging into their app status page? I can't even schedule my interview because it is saying that my password is incorrect and the person with tech support says that they are trying to fix it.... What interview dates are left? Really trying to interview before Christmas :/

No, I did not have a problem. I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble logging in though.
The interview dates listed were in December and January. Dates before Christmas were: 12/5, 12/12, and 12/19. Good luck!
Does anyone know if Wayne rejects after interview or do they hold on to everyone on the waitlist until the end?
