recently I've just decided to go to vet school after receiving a master's degree. I was wondering when they will start receiving applications for 17' applicants. meaning, entering fall 2013

The application is due on October 2nd every year (give or take a day). So you would need to have all your ducks in a row by October of this year.

Not even close. Vet school admissions are highly competitive. I strongly suggest you pick up a copy of the VMSAR book and start doing your research into individual schools and their requirements.

I think you might be asking if there are rolling admissions..? If so, no, it just has to be submitted before the deadline, then the application is processed in entirety.

I also echo Cowgirla's suggestion of getting yourself a copy of VMSAR and starting to read up about vet school's academic requirements, competitiveness and the sort of preparation it requires. If you don't want to pay anything, look through the FAQs for this forum, the AVMA/AAVMC websites and google around a bit for more information.
