I got the 2013 DAT destroyer for free, but do you guys think it's worth getting 2017 for the extra problems?

dont do it , all the problems are the same with an added bonus questions with each newer addition. I say save yourself the cash and just stick with the 2013 ed.

Here are the number of problems in our current edition, true we don't throw the old problems away and start from scratch each year, neither does the ADA when adding problems to the DAT, we add problems which we feel are necessary to obtain the highest score possible. We always use our current edition in our classroom.

The DAT exam is over $400 and you pay it every time you take the DAT, why take a chance..

Just my 2 cents..not to say you can't do well using the 2013 Destroyer..

Absolutely. New problems are added every year, which is crucial. In addition, the DAT is such an important exam for your future I suggest you take all steps possible to avoid cutting costs (easier said than done).

I'm taking my DAT on Aug 23rd, and I bought the 2016 Destroyer last summer to start practicing. I've finished and restarted the ochem and gen chem sections, finished the QR sections, and am making my way through bio while taking extensive notes. With the practice tests on BC and Kaplan that I have taken, it seems like I'm doing alright. Is there a big difference between the 2016 and 2017 versions? Or should I be okay for my DAT using the 2016 Destroyer? Thanks! 🙂
