The NIH Graduate and Professional School Fair, to be held on Wednesday, July 17, 2019 from 8:45 am to 2:45 pm on the Bethesda campus of the NIH, will provide an opportunity for NIH summer interns (especially those in college) and NIH postbacs, as well as other college students in the DC area, to prepare for the next step in their careers by exploring educational programs leading to the MD/PhD.

The overwhelming majority of MD/PhD program directors will be attending this conference, as our national meeting convenes late that afternoon. This is a FREE event. You need to get into the NIH, so you need to get there early to get thru the entrance line.

bump... this is coming up. It is a great opportunity to speak with MD/PhD directors. Bring a one-page resume with your AAMC ID #, stats, education and brief research experience, if you are applying in this cycle. You could ask about cut-off for benchmarks and other unwritten quirks by each of the programs that you might be applying to.

We are looking forward to seeing prospective MD-PhD students at the fair on July 17th. There will be MD-PhD representatives from Einstein, Baylor, Columbia, Harvard, Hopkins, Medical College of Wisconsin, Ohio State, Penn State, Alabama, UCLA, UCSD, Chicago, Cincinnati, Colorado, Illinois, Iowa, Maryland, Miami, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, Pitt, Rochester, UT-San Antonio, UT-Southwestern, Toronto, Utah, UVA, Washington, Wisconsin, Vandy, Wash U, Weill Cornell, and Yale. Here is the link to the student registration for the fair: Event Details - Office of Intramural Training & Education at the National Institutes of Health

Only applicants for this cycle should attend?

See you there!! On the bus from NYC. Thankfully a supportive PI and team were okay with me taking the day to make the trip

Just wanted to drop by and say thank you to all the exhibitors; as a current MD/PhD applicant, the fair was tremendously helpful in allowing me to learn more about the programs. If any future applicants are seeing this thread, I highly recommend attending this in future years if you get a chance.
