Columbia University Irving Medical Center (CUIMC) is a tertiary care medical center in Manhattan, New York. The Abdominal Imaging Fellowship is currently seeking motivated candidates to apply for an available position in the 2020-2021 academic year. The fellowship is an intensive one-year program designed to train radiologists in interpretation of abdominopelvic imaging studies. The medical center is a national leader in several medical and surgical specialties, and is a major organ transplantation center with a specific focus on hepatobiliary and renal transplant imaging.

The abdominal imaging fellowship is composed of rotations covering both inpatient and outpatient studies on MR, CT, and ultrasound, with emphasis on advanced techniques such as MR elastography, MR prostate imaging, MR defecography, MR rectal cancer staging and post-treatment studies, MR and CT liver donor transplant evaluation, MR evaluations of pregnant patients and the fetus, CT colonography, and ultrasound evaluation of percutaneous AV fistula creation. Four weeks of elective time are given to all fellows; electives are flexible and tailored to match the interest and future job requirements of the fellow. At the end of the fellowship year, our trainees are well-suited for successful careers in both the academic and private practice settings.

Our program includes a dedicated clinical didactic series, a daily body imaging case discussion and an up to date journal club series, in addition to numerous clinical and multidisciplinary conferences in the medical center that our fellows actively participate in.

Interested applicants should send their CV to Fellowship Administrator Imani Dean at [email protected].
