The Pediatric Neurology Residency Program at Boston Medical Center reserves one of its two positions each year for an individual who develops an interest in child neurology and will have completed at least 2 years of pediatric training by July 2020. We invite current pediatrics residents to take advantage of this opportunity and apply for the 2020 NRMP match this fall.

There is a broad need for child neurologists, both those interested in general child neurology as well as sub-specialists (e.g. epilepsy, sleep, headache, movement and neuromuscular diseases). The longitudinal relationships developed, the impact on children’s and family’s lives, and the clinical research opportunities contribute to a professional life that is fulfilling as well as remunerative.

Our program has been training outstanding, well-rounded pediatric neurologists for years by providing a wide breadth of clinical and academic experiences in the context of serving an underserved, diverse patient population. The program is housed within a medium-sized pediatric neurology division, allowing our residents to foster meaningful mentorships with faculty and productive collaborations with one another. Our didactic curriculum helps residents build a strong foundation in pediatric neurology and nurtures the trainees clinical, research, and teaching careers.

Subspecialty offerings include epilepsy, sleep, movement disorders, developmental neurology, concussion/TBI, cerebral palsy and neonatal neurology.

We are proud of our ability to individualize each resident’s experience based on their interests and needs, and remain very close with our recent graduates. We are excited to offer this open position and welcome candidates from any and all backgrounds to apply.

If you have an interest in our program or would like more information, please contact our residency program director Rinat Jonas, MD at [email protected] or our residency coordinator Lan Ruan at 617.414.4536 or [email protected]. Thank you for your interest in our program and we look forward to hearing from you.
