Did anyone else receive an invite but when logged in the portal main page says "Thank you for your interest in the Perelman School of Medicine. At this time you're not eligible to proceed with completing the secondary application."?

Could it be your international status? Penn does take international applicants, but:
- Some schools are limiting applicants whose PR status has an expiration date.
- Penn has this extra requirement for coursework: (from their MSAR page)
"Must have completed 24 credits of science education (BCPM credits) in the US before applying; limited funding for non-US citizens"

For number 5 would you give just one example (i.e. diversity essay), especially given the short character count, or would you give multiple examples? I have a story about caring for my brother (14 year age gap) or being first gen college student and not sure what to do.

I have sent an email to them with a screenshot of my portal, so hopefully they can either fix the bug or let me know what to do next! It might indeed be my PR status as you said. Thanks!

+1 OOS received

What prompts have changed? They all look the same? At least the question stems.

+1 MD/PhD OOS. LoR tab also not working.

Questions are all the same as MD-only, plus their usual questions about research interests, listing prior research experience, etc. from previous years.

+1 OOS MD only.

The questions look the same as last year with just changes to wording. Only the "International/Global Experiences" one is new.

Shouldn't be your PR status. I'm an international student (not a PR) and received on Saturday so more likely just a bug.

This might be a stupid question, but if I did a summer Study Abroad should I write about it for the International/Global Experiences essay? I'm only asking because I didn't really do much there but like take classes and sightsee. It was the first time I've been out of the country and it was amazing, but I'm unsure of what they're looking for with this question.

I have a question about the disadvantaged essay on the secondary. I wouldn't say that I come from a low-income background family-wise, but the prompt suggests I should say yes if I went to a Title 1 high school. I'm confused if I should say yes or no?

This is what I see as well, and it's definitely not PR status for me. I'm hoping it's just a bug that they'll fix next week.

It is not specific what the global activities should be so study abroad counts.

Anyone else still not able to submit?
I still can’t. I’m guessing it will become available sometime today, since it says the secondary application will be available for submission today. But they didn’t give the time it would go live so we’ll just have to wait and see.

Is anyone's LOR tab glitchy? I am checking the ones I want to send and then save/continue, but then when I return, the ones I selected changed.

-For question one, is it a good idea for me to just answer "No" if I don't have anything crazy or unique to tell?
-For questions like #2 two that don't apply to me, is it better to leave blank or write NA?

Is anyone's LOR tab glitchy? I am checking the ones I want to send and then save/continue, but then when I return, the ones I selected changed.
Also curious about this since I'm having the same issue...When I go to the documents tab, however, it says that the AO has received all of my letters, so I'm not sure if it's just a problem with the portal

+1 LOR very glitchy, showing the same writer over 10 times lmao, can't unselect them or select other writers

same issue here, it's duplicating like crazy
I just submitted mine and then sent an email to the admissions office confirming that the letters I originally selected would be included in my application review

There is a question asking if I have taken any science courses online. Is this most likely referring to just BCPM classes? Unsure whether to list a nutrition elective and a medical terminology course I took, which were classified as HEAL by AMCAS.

How long does it take Penn to receive the LOR? In my application I had submitted them and in the document status it says letters received but in the status tab it says Letter of References not received.

The LORs are still duplicating for me, I emailed and asked if I should wait to submit until it all looks normal or just submit asap but no one has responded. Does anyone have any advice on if I should just submit ASAP and let them know

For prompt #4 global activities. I did a study abroad this June ( 4 weeks) in Spain and completed my Spanish minor. Should I write about this. The prompt specifically states before submitting the AMCAS application. I started the program few days after submitting my primary application?

For anyone who has submitted already, does every name you checked in the LoR tab when you submitted show up as check marked? I checked mine earlier this week and again today and it is only showing two names checked instead of all of them (as I had selected when submitting). I emailed the Penn admissions office on Tuesday but they never replied to me...curious/worried if this is just a me issue.
