Has anybody received any sort of confirmation or update after submitting their application? What is their timeline?

I personally have not received any confirmation or update. Pretty early in the cycle I would assume

as a first year, I was on campus every day. I watched lectures at home or in the library at my own pace, but there was a mandatory class/lab everyday. I'm not sure how/if this will change with the move to Portland
 
Does anyone know why in my application portal it might say all my LORs were received, but they are still awaiting my MCAT? I released it all to AACOMAS and confirmed it is in my application. Are we supposed to send the scores separately to schools?

This is what it said in AACOMAS: "All applicants are required to complete this section prior to submitting their AACOMAS application to UNE COM. Applicants who do not complete this section in full will not be considered for admission. UNE COM does not send out additional secondary applications."
 
I’m still on awaiting materials because it says 1/3 LORs submitted, but I submitted a committee letter. Should I email them if it’s been about 3 weeks?

I’m in the same position except with my MCAT. They received all my LORs, but it has said “awaiting MCAT” for 3 weeks, even though it was all sent from AACOMAS
 
I’m probably beating a dead horse, but you’re sure you released your scores to AACOMAS through AAMC?

Yep! I can even see the score report included in the primary application (and other schools have gotten it).
 
There is a portal, but I don’t think we submit anything to it except our payment. I received the link, but no payment option yet.

Did they send the portal via email? Can you check your application status on it?

I'm in the same boat. I emailed them about this. They responded saying that since they are inputting in the LORs manually, it may take some time. Let me know when yours show up in the portal!
 
Yeah, I got the email showing me app updates a week or two after applying.
 
Wait, so is there a portal? I'm confused because I submitted my app on 5/7, and have no received a single email from UNECOM

I have a portal for UNE COM - Primary submitted 7/8, received an email invite to the portal 7/9 (yesterday) with confirmation of the school receiving my primary. Current status says awaiting MCAT score / in preliminary review. Meeting with admissions tomorrow so will ask about why my app says no MCAT was submitted even though it's listed in my AACOMAS app. If you haven't received one I would check your spam folder or reach out to the school to verify they received your application.
 
I emailed them last night and just received this: "Thank you for reaching out. We have not yet begun reviewing applications for the 2026 admissions cycle. Once we have initiated our review process, we will contact applicants to notify them of their receipt and potential next steps."

We're fine

What in the world is going on with this school… they’re telling some people they have to update the portal manually, while telling others that a portal doesn’t exist.

This is what I was told by adcom via email, preliminary review, to check everything, then they send out a link to pay the secondary fee i think. There is a portal I can tell you that lol.

But does the admissions office know that? Because they don’t seem to 😂

As others have said, they are just starting to review. The admissions member I met with told me the next class of D.O. students just started last week, so they are heavily focused on getting that cohort up and running then they will begin the process of updating portals and reviewing apps. As others have said, they do this manually so it takes an extensive amount of time.
 
Status changed to "awaiting decision." I did not receive any email besides the initial one to set up my portal. I didn't have to pay an extra fee besides the initial AACOMAS
 
Is the first application only applicable if you applied to UNECOM in previous years?

My first year I was on campus about every day, we had a lot more "mandatory" things, but I did not attend our medical knowledge lectures (these are all recorded; I prefer to watch on 2x speed). Second year, they're more lenient, I would say I was on campus about 3/4 times a week, mostly because you have a nice quiet space to study, the Biddeford location had a dining hall, etc.
I will say, I think it'll be great to be on campus at Portland, you guys have an extremely beautiful new building you get to be in! Plus, there's a ton of great food options around the area, but if you prefer a cafe to study in, Portland has a ton of those.
First year you will be on campus a majority of the time because you will have in-person anatomy for about 8 hours a week, plus lecture, exams, etc.

I notice housing isn’t very readily available. Maybe it’s just because I’m looking now, but where do most students live?
