From their website as updated on February 4, 2025

The majority of applicants applying to over 60 MD- and DO-granting medical schools took the PREview exam for the 2024-2025 application year. These schools, and more, are expected to participate again in 2025 for the 2025-2026 application season. Some schools will require PREview while others will recommend applicants take the exam. Several other schools are considering using PREview scores – they will participate by using PREview scores in their research to learn more about the exam and determine if they will require or recommend the exam for future application years.

Schools Requiring a Situational Judgement Test – The PREview Score Will Satisfy this Requirement.

AMCAS-Participating Programs Using PREview Scores for Research Only

If you apply to any medical schools not currently requiring or recommending the PREview exam, the schools may elect to view PREview scores. They will not use PREview scores to evaluate applications for the 2025 application year. They will instead use scores to conduct research to determine if and how they may incorporate the PREview exam into their holistic review of applications in a future admissions cycle.

An interesting footnote at Schools Participating in the AAMC PREview® Exam :

Schools participating in the 2024/2025 medical school application year may accept scores from the April 2025 exams for the current 2024/2025 application year. Please contact the schools for confirmation.

Message me if those of you with offers or waitlists have been encouraged to take PREview before matriculating. This "update" would be very late for interview invitations, but perhaps it could be used for an update for waitlist priority. If a school suggests this, please let me know.
