When can we expect secondaries? I got an invitation for PHSU open house at St. Louis. How important is that? Is it sent to everyone who submitted the application.

Every application cycle is different so can never say for sure, but not everyone gets a secondary. Interview is more important so while exciting to receive a secondary, like everywhere else it'll come down to if they send you an interview. Probably 80% chance of getting the A, if you get an interview, rough estimate no true stats behind it.

I believe for my class they interviewed 600 ppl for 30ish spots. I'm sure that number has increased since two years ago.

Open house is generally is the same everywhere not important, will not affect whether you get in or not.

Okay so this might be a long post. I emailed the St. Louis campus a few days ago and they said we simply just go to the website and complete the application (photo attached). That application is sort of like the primary application we filled in for amcas, so when I called and asked them about that, they said I could just skip the part that asks for essays and additional documentation, and then just pay the application fee and I'll be fine. so its like they're saying there is no secondary essays. what baffles me is the fact that i got an email a few days back saying the secondary is not yet out.

Bro they could’ve told us that…

I called them today and they told me to go ahead and submit the secondary on their website. She told me to "skip anything that repeats on AMCAS". Sounds a bit funky but whatever.

The lady I spoke to said just skip repeating information that is on your AMCAS. She didn't explicitly tell me to skip the essay on the secondary application.

I called the admissions office and the person I spoke to said that the email saying that secondaries are not yet available is an error, and they are doing an investigation into why/how it was sent. She says that as long as you submitted through AMCAS, the only thing that needs to be uploaded as part of the secondary is the 500 word essay at the end of the app that says "Briefly explain your interest in the program and your academic or professional goals".
