230...what percentage correct?

So on the real deal Step 1, say you want to make a 230, what percentage do you need to get correct? 60%, 70%, 80%

Do they even tell you what percent you got correct on the scoresheet?

Nobody knows. You don't get a raw score.

i would guess at least 70% (and closer to 80%), but again, all the responses you'll get will be conjecture.

In the end the test is out of 300 total possible questions / points. To get a 230 then you would need to answer 76% of the 300 questions that are scored correct or 66% of the total questions.

This is complete hearsay, and no one should take this as fact.

Fact is, NBME does not publish any of its grading policies.

And to address the OP's question: who cares? There are score estimators out there if that's what you're looking for.

Another thing: if this was true, why do only around 10 people get in the 270s, and no one > 280 or higher? The people who are getting in the 260s are definitely getting ~95% of the questions correct. Hearsay!
