Greetings all.
First a little introduction; I went to the horrible medical school overseas and wasted time doing nothing except getting through by looking at past back exams. I came back to the states, and had to start preparing for USMLE. I took Kaplan out in Cali, and am done with the live lectures. I feel like I've got a better grasp of my basics, and felt Kaplan was my real medical school learning. Believe me, I struggled all through out it and didn't even know the most basic basic of things. At this point, I've done about 20% of UW, and am scoring in the 40's untimed.
So I come to you all, and ask what would be the best method of making sure I score that 99 like the many others around here? I was planning on re-watching the Kaplan videos (I know I should just read since I already attended the lectures, but I get very bored of just sitting infront of a book and reading the material), listening to Goljan audio twice, and memorizing First Aid. Does this seem like a proper plan of attack? I also was hoping to get through UW bank twice, while adding the information into my FA. Would all this be possible in about 2-3 months? I also have the Rapid Review Path, but I don't know what all the hype is about. It's basically in outline form, which isn't too helpful unless you know the mechanisms behind everything before hand.
I was also planning on signing up for USMLERX, so I can get even more re-inforcement for what First Aid stresses on. I know these are a lot of different sources, but for the next 3 months my goal is nothing short of a 99. I also have Path and Physio BRS, but I don't know if adding those two would be wise ontop of everything else. I know it's not thought well upon to somehow pull out a top score with all of medical school crammed in 5 months total (including Kaplan live), but I have the drive to sure try. What do you all think? Any and all input is appreciate 🙂.
EDIT: And I also plan on taking all the NBME's, 2 weeks apart from eachother. Also plan on utilizing 10+ hours a day, every day until the exam.
