I took the mcat last year, and received a 24N
retook it, and received a 27Q 10-PS 9-VR 8-BS
Have a 4.0 GPA
and a 3.9 sGPA
I am black male in Michigan
I go to Michigan State University
My EC's are average, nothing too spectacular, but im not lacking on anything (research, clinical work, part time jobs, 1 publication, ect)

I am applying really late, (still being verified, should be by next week).
Anyone know any realistic MD schools for me to apply to?

I would suggest that you check out the SDN spreadsheet
www.is.gd/sdn_med_matriculant_data

There are so many variables involved with picking the right schools to apply to that I don't like to suggest them unless they're obvious. The obvious ones are your state schools and the HBCs

do u think i have a good chance this cycle?

As soon as I read black male... (with a 27 and 4.0)... I know you'll get in somewhere.

Nice! :meanie:

First of all, I have used the search function but I would like to know how the situation has changed in more recent years.

I currently have a 3.97 cGPA (4.00 science) and about to take the MCAT in 3 weeks. Hypothetically speaking, if I end up getting 28-30 on my MCAT, would I have a fair shot at an acceptance?

And yet you feel the need to make fun of others...:meanie:

It's ok to have your cake and eat it too.
