My Key says that B is correct for #28
how weird, i wonder how many other questions are wrong in my solutions
thanks

Dr.N, my answer key also says C for this one. I'd like to believe it's B though, since that's what I put... but my answer key is like a photocopied version of a scantron someone filled in. Maybe they're just that guy's answers and not the real ones, and we both purchased from the same guy on ebay?

I put B too...My explanations are talking about chlorine though? I'm confused, does anyone have a good explanation for that one?

A piece of crap? I think its the most realistic depiction of how you will do on saturday.

can anyone explain 28? i thought 7 was a good test, verbal was a bit rough, but very possible overall

For #28, just use the equation given in the passage (Equation 3) and then plug the numbers into it. Make sure the units are correct and you should get B.

If you go to e-mcat.com and go to the discussion board. There is a forum called "About this Board." In that forum, there is a topic called "PT7 Fixes." They have posted the following information, shown below:

Practice Test 7 has been updated with the following changes:

Physical Sciences - #26 - New solution
Physical Sciences - #28 - New solution and answer
Biological Science - #163 - Now associated with different passage
Biological Science - #171 - New solution and answer

If you previously took this test, your scores have been updated to reflect the changes. We apologize for the inconvenience. Please contact technical support if you have any questions or problems.

I copied the answers down when the test first came out and also have "c" listed for problem 28. The corrected answers are as follows:

26 = D
28 = B
163 = D
171 = D

I dont know what they mean by for question 163 saying its "Now associated with different passage." I just ran through the test again (on the website) and it still shows up as an independent question. Anyhow, hope this helps clear up some discrepancies.

For # 28 what question do you guys have, I have the following.... The Molar absorptivity of bromine... what is the absorbance at 395 nm?" I picked B, which is 0.820

I was just about to post a thread asking about this question. I'm so glad people are head of me...

what was the question for #163?

I got C as the answer, and it was marked correct.. but I dont have the questions nor the solutions..
