Hello guys, I am facing a dilemma and would love your guys' advice on what to do.
I got accepted into a summer research internship which has a 40-hour 10-week schedule. It starts on Monday, June 16, and will end on Friday, August 22. I am grateful for this opportunity and am interested in doing it, however, the problem is that I am also registered for the MCAT on September 12 of this year.
In your opinion, should I accept the internship and do you believe it is enough for me to study for the MCAT during just the evenings and weekends? Or should I reject it and treat MCAT studying as a full-time job over the summer (which was my original plan)? I will not be able to do this internship next summer as I graduate college next year and I want to start a full-time job as an MA immediately after. I also have no research experience, however, the MCAT is a scary exam and I hope to score a 515+ and not have to retake it. My dream medical school is OHSU med school and I plan on applying to med schools in the 2027 cycle. Thank you so much!

You should take the MCAT when you are ready. If this internship is really interesting to you, do it. The MCAT can wait. You don't need to take it until the year you apply. Focus on your ECs, internship, and getting that MA job, and then start studying for it and take it in Jan- March 2027.
