Is a section score of 290 detrimental to acceptance into an optometry school (UAB, OSU are my top choices)? Here are my other scores:
Quantitative Reasoning: 370
Reading Comprehension: 320
Biology: 370
General Chemistry: 390
Organic Chemistry: 320
Physics: 290
TS: 340
AA: 340

I'm really worried about my low physics score and wanted to know what I should do. I have a 3.70 GPA.

Do I have a chance?
Thanks!

With your OAT and GPA, I think you will have a pretty good chance of getting into optometry school; assuming you have some shadowing experience and extracurricular activity. Some schools might ask you to retake the OAT to bring all sections above 300, I would call the school to double check with them.

Thanks for your response.

I have 500+ hours of shadowing, and multiple activities (SGA, Honors College Vice President, 2 Years as a Biology Tutor, and undergraduate research)

Anybody else know anything about a section score under 300?

I don't see you having any trouble getting multiple acceptances. Congrats on the good score! Apply early and you should be choosing from quite a few schools.

Your OAT score is almost identical to mine. I also got a 290 in physics and everything else was pretty much like yours, including my TS and AA. I was accepted into 4 different schools and ended up canceling another 3 interviews (I applied to 7 schools in total). You will be fine. Good luck!

Thanks for the replies! I hope I end up getting that many interviews as well. I'm just not sure about OSU; from other posts it seems OSU is more difficult than other schools in which I am interested. Does anybody know anything about admissions at OSU?
