I'm going into my final year and taking the DAT after Spring semester.
I've managed to get and maintain a c3.6gpa and s3.7 gpa- with 2F's and 1D under my belt (non-science/math related courses). How bad would this look when applying?

I think it would raise a red flag, but your GPA is pretty great despite those grades and as long as you made A's in the pre-reqs and have a competitive DAT, then you should be fine. Probably no need to remediate non-prereqs. When did you receive them? The later in your curriculum, the more it will hurt your application.

It would probably be best to ask the schools. Doing this would let you save money by dropping the schools that had a problem with it and keeping the schools that didn't.

In my opinion, since they aren't science courses it's not too big of a deal. You've managed a pretty good GPA and have excelled in science courses. I can see it coming up in interviews and if that ever happens just be honest and admit you have a weakness.

I have two Fs, one C, and my GPA is lower than yours and I got accepted. The schools I interviewed at didn't even ask me about them.

I actually received those two F's in 2004 when I was a freshman at a CC, I received a 1.75gpa.
Dropped out- joined the Marines for four years.
Got honorable discharged as a Sgt, and now this is where I am.
Just needed some motivation and discipline.. I guess.
It's been a long road!

2004? I wouldn't worry about it too much. Maybe mention in your ps that you became motivated and disciplined I guess...you'll be fine 🙂 especially since it's not science courses. Good luck!

You are worrying about nothing. You served our country and got it together.

It is absolutely a nonissue.

I agree. This is definitely a non-issue. Get a solid DAT and you should be set.

Thank you for your service!
