So I take the MCAT on March 15th and have started taking the AAMC FLs this past week. I originally studied for the MCAT about a year ago but due to some unforeseen circumstances ended up not really studying like I should have and went in to the actual test knowing I was going to void it. My last go around I was scoring about 507 on all the AAMC scored FL, but I recently took FL1 and got a 517. I definitely did not remember anything from the science sections, and the CARS section I could faintly remember reading the passages but didnt remember what the questions or answers were, and P/S was never an issue for me even the first time around becuase I know most of the terms and applying them is easy for me. Just wondering if anyone else had taken the scored FL spaced out (mine was a difference of about 10 months) and how it correlated to your actual MCAT score. Like I said, I dont think it influenced my score much, maybe by an overall of 2 points max, but interested to hear other people who had to retake and reuse the material.

Well, I took my MCAT about 1 1/2 year ago and recently took FL1 for practice and got a significantly higher score than the first one. I got a 522, whereas the first I got around 513. Even though I wanted to attribute this new score to my great improvement in CARS (been practicing that daily for the last 4 months), I am not sure if this score really means anything. I mean the moment we see something our brain has registered it somewhere. And considering how focused we must have been when we took these practice FLs, they must have been more wired than we think- hence could have a much more impact on our score the second around than we might realize. I am not saying that you havent improved, you probably have and that score might be a testament to your progress. What I am saying is dont get too comfortable with one score yet and wait until you take another FL, one you havent taken, to really see how much you have improved.

The problem is I took all the AAMC ones last time around haha. I took I next step and 2 EK practice tests a couple of weeks ago but they obviously arent as similar to the real thing as the aamc ones.

I took all of them the first time around, actually took them all twice. I scored anywhere from 507-515 maybe on the six total attempts. Retook them about 8 months later and got 521.522.524 and scored a 519 on the actual exam my second go around. I would have scored at least my average on my actual but I had a rough time on my best section (cars). I would say it is safe to trust your score on them. If you want anymore information feel free to ask. Best of luck on test day
