Hello everyone,

I need help deciding whether I should pursue a 2nd degree in biology or a master's degree in dental science. Which one is more favorable to the admissions given that

- 1st degree in physiology (GPA: 3.3)
I kind of messed up because of my military service
- applying from Canada
- 2nd degree in biology: (GPA: 4.0, one more year to graduation)
- DAT: 19

I am having second thoughts about completing my second degree because I didn't even get a single interview so far and perhaps I should get a more advanced degree in science.

SMP is not an option for me coz I can't afford the tuition...

So what do you guys think?

Thank you in advance!

Increase you DAT score significantly.

yup that too.

I've writen DAT 4 times (3 CDAT + 1 DAT) so far. I am planning to retake it for the last time, hopefully.

Well your first GPA was not that bad. I am almost in the same situation so I was contemplating on post bacc or masters too but after speaking to a dean of student affairs i think Masters seems to be better. Another bachelors seems like you are on the same platform on the other hand masters is an upper level education. anyways if you have already started another bachelors finish it and increase DAT and you are good to go.👍

Thank you for your input,

My gpa is a total train wreck in first two years. I got Cs in most of prerequisite courses coz I was receiving basic military training on the weekends, and the second year was not any better. I pulled 4.0s in third and fourth year, but it was too late... Perhaps I should go back and retake the fundamental courses.
