So I took the dat last summer as a Junior and got this
AA 18
PA 15
Bio 19
GC 16
OC 18
RC 18
QR 18

I wasnt happy with the PAT and GC so waited till this summer and retook them and got this on 9/12

AA 19
PA 17
Bio 22
GC 20
OC 20
RC 20
QR 15

So for the most part I improved by at least 2 points in every section and by my standards Im really happy with my newest scores considering Ive been working full time this summer for a pharmaceutical company (intern) and also taking an online course. However, the QR kinda sucks but I just ran out of time and had to guess on a good 10-15 problems because I had a massive headahe and was basically burnt out. My GPA is 3.51 cumulative, 3.22 science. My first choice is Temple, I'm from the philly area. I'm also applying to Nova, Tufts, Pitt, Penn, NJ, UMD, and NYU. Ive got tons of reasearch experience with monoclonal antibodies, shadowing experience with both a dentist and an orthodontist, leardership positions in college etc. I'd like to know Im guranteed some interviews and at least one acceptance but who knows. What do u guys or any experts out there think? Thanks

🙂 Your scores look pretty good. Your background experience is full and detailed, you'll do just fine. I want to know if you were taking any practice test and if so how those scores lined up with your final DAT score?

Thanks for the feedback. I studied using topscore and Kaplan, and I also read over schaums bio, and barrons pat. In topscore I averaged 18's across the board and I only took all 3 topscore exams the week prior to the real dat (by this point I was just about done studying). On the real dat i thought genchem was fairly straight forward if you knew the kaplan stuff. Ochem was totally random, i was happy to get what I did this time because I felt i did alot worse in that section. Perceptual was so so but angles and top front end were the hardest. I really like bio but the real dat bio was totally random. only one genetics questions, and one hormone question. The rest were about evolution and classification or totally random stuff, no sea urchin or co2 in blood question! I thought that was a bit ridiculous but oh well, luckily I had specificly studied those subjects the weekend before since I had neglected them for most of my studying which was reflected in my score. RC wasnt bad but some questions about whats the tone etc I swear there was more then one right answer. QR is like topscore but tricky, make sure u know your arcsin stuff, and if you get stuck on a problem move on because I spent too much time on a few which left me unable to work out problems at the end that I knew I could figure out given a little more time.

You should be pretty satisfied with your score. The QR section is not that heavily weighted from what i've heard. A job well done!
