I just scheduled an interview at VCU for the next available spot, which is the last week in November. The women said that this week is the first week for the next wave of interviews. Does anyone know if VCU tries tp fill all their seats by Dec. 1? Are the later interviews for the waitlist? Thanks

When / how did you hear from VCU? My AADSAS has said "received/waiting additional information" forever, and I'm sure the app. is complete. I really wanna interview here!

I also heard from a pal that interivewed that they are accepting ten extra students, and if they can get a 3.0 or better they can stick around.

Can anyone confirm this?

Hey thanks for the responses, I hope they only fill half on Dec 1. My AADSAS said invited for interview last friday and I got the letter in the mail this monday. Good luck to you guys!

Have you called to CONFIRM your app is complete? As soon as that appeared on AADSAS for one of my schools I called and they just wanted to know how I was planning on taking such and such pre-req. Cleared it up in about 5 minutes and received an interview invite the very next day...

Yeah, I'm pretty sure I e-mailed to see if it was complete. They told me it was in August. And then, when they updated AADSAS it said that they were awaiting additional information, which I believed to mean that they were waiting on my DAT scores from Sept.

Maybe I should call tomorrow just in case. Although, I don't want to annoy them.

It's not annoying them. You're calling to see if something's missing. Call and tell them the situation. If they tell you everything's fine then you can joke about how incompetent AADSAS is. But if something's missing aren't you going to be glad that you called??

First of all, unless you're really sure that something might be missing, don't call. They will not be very nice and they'll tell you to check AADSAS. I promise. As for the extra 10 seats, some of them will go to the D.5 program(which allows you to take a few dent school classes your first year and if you get B's you'll be accepted into the program and finish in 5 years), but that's nothing new...they've had the program for a few years now and there's no real set number on how many they'll take.

Yes, Dr. Healy told us at the interview that starting this year, they will be taking in 100 students/class instead of 90. That's separate from the D.5 program.
