    I am interested in the similarities/differences of 2nd semester coursework among schools. I am a 1st year DVM/PhD student at Illinois.

    2nd semester, 1st year at Illinois

    Core:
    Physiology II (Cardiology, Renal and Respiratory)
    Anatomy II (large animal) with lab
    Nutrition
    Immunology
    Clinical Orientation II (large animal)

    Elective:
    Feline Canine Behaviors

    PhD:
    Special Problems (Research credit in thesis lab)
    Stem Cell Journal Club (taught by my thesis advisor/PI)

    The 2nd Year, 1st Semester at Massey, which lasts February-June, is actually the 2nd semester of the professional program.

    They keep our course names simple, then throw everything but the kitchen sink into each course :)
