I'm still trying to visualize what you describe, and how it is solely an American thing. We really smile different?

haha yeah, i recently graduated and going through facebook, i noticed that me and another friend (hes afghan also) rarely smile in our photos, like we only open our mouths so you can see the top few front teeth. meanwhile my American friends you can see their molars haha.

so i asked my brother to smile and he did the same thing, and then i asked some other people without telling them why and it like reinforced my idea.

i really have no clue, but i'm working on "Expanding" my smile.
