I'm not sure if I should post this question in this forum or not, oh well.
I'm an MS2 at KU med, and I had a rough 2nd semester first year. My first semester was also pretty average. My "GPA" is essentially sitting at right under a 3.0. I'm starting to get worried, because no matter how much effort I put in, I always stay right around the B range (sometimes lower, and OCCASIONALLY, an A).
So to get to the point: I want to go into internal medicine, and I'd like to stay in the Kansas City area (preferrably at KU Med). Anyone else with mediocre grades their first two years have problems getting into their internal medicine residency?
Anybody know anything about KU residencies? I'm pretty much clueless right now.
