hey everyone. so I'm a senior right now at FSU and my overall gpa is a 3.0, science a 2.8. I am taking the MCAT next saturday. So what do you think my chances are at getting into medical school?

I have 1 F, 2 D's 4 C's, and everything else A's and B's. I got bad grades my junior year because I had a lot of family problems, my dad had just gotten out of prison and was deported and i was really depressed junior year, and my car was stolen that same year too. Also I am bilingual, and English is not my first language.

Thank you

Getting into medical school is more than having the numbers. Your extracurriculars and background are part of the determination. To have a shot at MD med schools, you'll need a very good MCAT score, and time doing post-bac work or in an SMP (Special Masters Program), besides excellent letters of recommendation, the usual extracurriculars, and a well-written personal statement. Your chances will be better if you also apply to DO medical schools.
