I'm going to be graduating from UChicago with an economics degree this December and am considering taking pre-med prerequisite classes at a community college in my hometown. If I ace my pre-med science classes and have a high MCAT, might my low GPA be forgiven since I came from a top-10 undergrad? This can change, but I'm thinking about becoming an interventional radiologist.

I wouldn't recommend taking all your pre-reqs at CC. Probably best to do a post-bacc at a competitive institution, and get a 3.8+.

Would a state flagship be good?
A state flagship would be a lot better than CC... If you can get 3.8+ in these prereqs and do well (34+) in the MCAT, you should be ok for low tier MD... If you are looking into DO school, CC prereqs might be ok IMO.

Yes. The top-10 UG has much less to do with it than your ability to excel in your coursework.
