Apply to all your Texas MD schools. For AMCAS schools you could try TCU-UNT and Tulane. Also apply broadly to DO schools and I suggest these:
TCOM
SAM HOUSTON STATE
UIWSOM
OSU-COM
AZCOM
TUNCOM
ATSU-KCOM
KCU-COM
DMU-COM
MU-COM
ACOM
WCU-COM
WVSOM
PCOM (all schools)
LECOM (all schools)

Any opinion on applying to any other MD schools, or do OOS MD adcoms pretty much evaluate my app as someone who's Texas bound? I have a strong interest in research that is drawing me namely UTSW and Baylor and a couple others, however I a little less than competitive for those. Any advice on OOS MD schools?

OOS MD schools interview few Texas applicants since they know from years of experience that Texas applicants will attend a Texas school. You could try some of the newer MD schools such as NOVA MD, Seton Hall, Quinnipiac, Oakland Beaumont, Western Michigan.
