The HBCU's are looking for a lifetime commitment of service to communities of color, not just volunteerism.
Do not apply to Rutgers if you are not from NJ.
Delete Tulane. Delete Maryland.
You really only have 3 or 4 fair chances at an interview on this list. That's not usually enough.

I agree with Gyngyn. You need to apply to many more low tier and newer medical schools to maximize your chances for an MD school acceptance. Consider adding Quinnipiac, Oakland Beaumont, Western Michigan, Temple, Jefferson, Commonwealth (PA), Rosalind Franklin, St. Louis, Creighton. Also apply to your state public schools. You may also want to apply to DO schools this year. If you do not want to apply to DO this year then if you are not accepted to MD this year and have to reapply to MD next year then definitely apply to DO next year. The GPA-MCAT grid shows that you have a 1/3 chance of an MD acceptance with your stats.

Not that I have ever seen. I believe you are good to go for most if not all of them, though. A DO (or MD) letter would help I'm told. RDA

I have an MD letter. I haven't head from anyone but applied early :/ uh oh

Take those grids with a huge grain of salt. the numbers get skewed by legacies, URMs, and applicants in the southern and midwestern schools, which are biased for thier instate residents. You have to look at each school individually, and see if your numbers are in their ranges.

You are highly competitive for any DO school, including mine.

is there a GPA MCAT grid for DO?

Thanks for the responses guys. Yeah I knew I was definitely a below average MD candidate I just wanted to get others opinions. I am currently applying to DO programs as well and I think I have a strong chance at one of those. I am not quite sure who Cdamiani is but good luck to you as well mate.
